OCA-APAA-NE is committed to advancing racial equity. Our chapter sees racial inequity as one of the greatest challenges of our generation and for many generations before us. In order to break the cycle of inequity, OCA-APAA-NE has created a program known as the Youth Leadership Council.

The council consist of teaching high school students skills to show them how to become great leaders in the future. The council meets once a month for 8 months and includes programs such as: A History of Anti-Asian Hate taught by UMASS Professor Andrew Leong, financial literacy seminar, negotiation training, learning about the college process, mental health wellness seminar, and community engagement and organizing.
